Molutrex 5% made by ACM in France for treatment of molluscum contagiosum
Molutrex 5% is a solution based on potassium hydroxide for topical application to skin lesions caused by molluscum contagiosum virus (MCV). This is a common viral skin infection and a known member of the poxvirus family. It is characterized by the development of small, raised bumps or lesions on the skin. Molluscum contagiosum is highly contagious and can be spread through direct skin-to-skin contact or by sharing items such as towels, clothing, or toys.
Benefits of using this product
- Painless removal of skin lesions easily destroys infected skin cells.
- Molutrex 5% is well tolerated by the skin. However, some people may experience irritation, redness, and burning at the site.
- Potassium hydroxide helps destroy infected cells and activate the skin’s natural defenses.

- Use serum twice a day, in the morning and the evening.
- Apply the solution only on warts caused by Molluscum Contagiosum. Do not use it on healthy skin.
