Enterol 250mg is a probiotic that restores the balance of intestinal microflora.
Enterol 250mg protects the intestines, strengthens immunity, and helps treat infectious diarrhea and antibiotic-related diarrhea. The product contains the yeast Saccharomyces boulardii CNCM I745.
What is it used for?
- Treats acute infectious diarrhea and prevents traveler’s diarrhea.
- To control diarrhea associated with antibiotic use.
- You can use it along with antibiotics.
- Recurrent diarrhea due to Clostridium difficile infection, as an adjunct to treatment with vancomycin or metronidazole.
- To prevent diarrhea associated with enteral feeding.
- To prevent traveler’s diarrhea.
How to use Enterol 250mg
- Acute infectious diarrhea: 1 to 2 capsules per day, for up to 1 week
- Post-antibiotic diarrhea: 1 to 2 capsules per day, during and after antibiotic therapy
- Diarrhea due to C. difficile infection: 4 capsules per day, for up to 4 weeks
- Diarrhea associated with enteral feeding: 1 to 2 capsules per day
- Traveler’s diarrhea: 1 to 4 capsules per day for up to 1 week.
Contraindications
- Opening the capsules near patients with a catheter inserted into a central vein is not recommended to prevent unwanted colonization of fungi on the catheter, especially transmission by contaminated hands.
- There are reports of sporadic fungemia (fungal penetration into the blood) accompanied by fever and positive blood cultures, even in patients not treated with Saccharomyces boulardii.
